Engagements - Courtney & Andrew

Post #2 for the day! It's another engagement shoot. This time with Courtney & Andrew. Courtney is a very good friend of mine and Andrew is just about the nicest guy you could meet. They both cooperated with me and were fantastic. I know I say this about a lot of my subjects, but these two are very photogenic.
There's something in their eyes in this picture that I really like. It's a genuine look of love, if you ask me. (Wow, that sounds cheesy.)

Coming from an artistic perspective, I like how this next picture turned out, mainly because it has a level of depth to the picture, thanks to the background. Your focus is still on the couple, but if you look for more than a couple seconds, you'll feel drawn into the picture. Hooray for self praise!

In case you can't tell, this is my favorite shot to do with an engaged couple. It's about the only time I'll allow the couple to actually kiss while I'm taking the pictures. Normally I don't approve of kissing in engagement pictures, but i'm okay with this because the attention isn't drawn to the couple kissing, it's on the ring.
Again with the level of depth in this picture. Bridges are fantastic for taking pictures, especially when you get to use them as perspective lines. I don't really like the color of this bridge, but I guess with all the green trees and such around it, it fits well for the location.
Well, there they are. I really like them. Just as a quick story, Courtney and Andrew were the first people I've photographed that actually noticed the weird positions I get myself in when I'm taking the pictures. I always joke that I get into stranger poses than my subjects. Courtney couldn't handle it and was laughing at me the whole shoot. I guess it made for some good, natural smiles though.
Let me know what you think of the pictures in the comments.

Engagements - Teagan & Matt

Well, time for an update to this blog. I've got a couple sets of pictures to post today. This one is the engagement pictures I took for Teagan. If you have been following my photography for long enough, you'll recognize her from some of my older shoots. Teagan and Matt were wonderful subjects and they're both incredibly photogenic. This was just a good shoot.

I really like this next one. Not sure why.

Matt pulled this face and I told him to hold it so I could get a shot of it. Turned out really funny.

 There's that face again...

Well, there they are. This is just a small sample of the pictures. As usual, I took way too many of each pose in the hopes that I would get something good. What do you all think? Let me know in the comments.
